That Darn Cat!

Once upon a time in a great land called Cali, there lived a happy couple. She was the yin to his yang. He was the key to her lock. They complimented each other wonderfully – like wine and cheese, biscuits and gravy, bacon and eggs, clay and glaze…you get the picture.

This couple tried their best to stay young at heart and both enjoyed finding little ways to make the other happy. Every day she would prepare a special snack to tuck in his briefcase before he headed off to work. He would do little things like put the toothpaste on her toothbrush, just because.

In many ways, every day was Valentine’s Day for this pair. But once each year when the official feast of Saint Valentine appeared on the calendar, he would put on his thinking cap and come up with some very clever and sneaky way to remind her just how much he cared. This year was no exception.

Valentines Cat Visit at CatTail Studio ArtsWhile she was working in the back yard, he sneakily set about making little cat foot prints that entered from the back door and proceeded to meander around the kitchen floor ultimately forming the shape of a heart. A special treat of Indian sweets was left like a little cat present sitting on the floor amidst all the prints.

She came in from outdoors without suspecting a thing. Her immediate reaction was, “What did that cat do?!” It didn’t take her long to realize there was a greater mind at work here. Gotta love that darn cat! 😉
